Choosing the right projector
Because every installation space has different dimensions, mounting options, and lighting conditions, the projector is not included with the INITI Playground package. Selecting the correct projector is essential for achieving the best visual quality and interaction experience.
Below are the main factors to consider when choosing a projector:
-
Projection distance (Throw ratio)
A short-throw projector is strongly recommended. Short-throw models can be placed closer to the wall, which helps minimize player shadows and prevents the projector beam from being blocked during gameplay. -
Projector brightness
Choose brightness according to the ambient lighting conditions:- darker indoor spaces: lower brightness may be sufficient,
- bright rooms or public spaces: higher lumen output is required.
In general, brighter projectors provide better visibility and more vibrant colors.
-
Resolution
The recommended minimum resolution is Full HD (1920×1080).
INITI Playground also supports higher resolutions, including 4K, which improves image sharpness, text readability, and overall visual detail. -
Installation flexibility
Consider mounting options such as ceiling mounting, wall brackets, or truss installations. Proper mounting helps maintain stable alignment and consistent calibration results.
